📈 Why Did Beer Prices Increase?
Two rounds of increases hit Malaysian drinkers: +5% in April 2024 (Heineken and Carlsberg Malaysia raised prices citing raw material costs) and +10% excise duty in November 2025 (government budget, first increase since 2013). Combined, a can that cost RM7.00 in 2023 now costs approximately RM8.10+.
