How this works
A rate on this site is never meant to sit untouched until someone notices it is wrong. Each rate family below is tied to a real-world event — an MPC decision, a Budget announcement, a tariff review — and that event is what triggers the update. Where a live official API exists, we read from it instead of storing a number at all.
There can still be a lag between an official announcement and our update. If you find a figure that has fallen behind, reporting it is the fastest way to get it fixed.

What the date on a page means
- A rate cited inline with its source is current as at the review date shown on that page.
- A 'last updated' month means the page was rebuilt and its rates checked against the trigger list above. It does not claim every price was individually re-quoted that month.
- Pages built on a live API do not carry a stored rate at all — they read the current value on each revalidation.
